Nevada Native:

I was born and raised in Nevada. My father Don passed away in 2006 after his battling with cancer. He was a 30 year veteran of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and my best friend. This last year my mother Barb married Danny Sabala who has been a blessing to our family and filled a large gap. It is still strange to me that I am now related to half of Elko County.

My family has owned property near Gold Creek Ranger station since I was a kid growing up in the early 70's. My mother has served as Elko County Commissioner. My father, uncle, sister and I have more than a combined 100 years in law enforcement, serving the State of Nevada.

My wife Eva and I moved to the Spring Creek area where we built our home about seven years ago. We have two daughters, Amanda 26 who is attending CCCC working on her paralegal degree and Devan 22, who is attending Warner Pacific university in Portland working on her Physical Therapy degree I took up competitive bass fishing after I retired and we love our horses, ATV's and motorcycling. My wife and I are both avid hunters and enjoy the outdoors.

Eva and my mother opened a small business in downtown Elko two years ago called "The Two Olde Crows." They specialize in primitive furniture, scented candles, rustic iron work, rustic tin lamps, farmhouse tables, pewter ware, custom wing back chairs, braided rugs, curtains, wall hangings and everyday needful's.

Last year I battled Lymphoma and beat it. I am cancer free now and feeling great.
