Nevada, a Sovereign State?
Civil Air Patrol will be used for any and all life threatening rescues and recovery. This unit is funded through the United States Air Force and when activated by the Sheriff is done so at NO COST to the County. The Elko County Sheriff's Posse will coordinate search and rescue operations with Civil Air Patrol including training exercises.
The Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital has a serious lack of security. Patients, Nurses and Doctors have encountered violent offenders with no security system in place to ensure their safety. I will be seeking an evaluation of security measures at the hospital from the Elko County Commission to ensure the safety of public, patients and staff. I will be utilizing the Deputy Reserve program and Posse to supplement hospital security.
